This jumble of my mother's things was arranged to play with many kinds of vision and decoration, with old photographs, glasses, and jewelry. I chose the scarf for both its visual echo of the glasses shape and a subtle reference to Damien Hirst's spot paintings. The curled photoraph is of me as a little girl and theother photos are of my parents. All appear to be sliding off at the edges, only anchored by the dark tangle.
