This work is based on my drawings from Recluse Island in Lake George, NY. The persecpective was used by John Frederick Kensett to make drawings on August 23th, 1853. I returned on August 23, 2011 to made several drawings and color studies and photograph the scene. On the left is a fragment from a reproduction of his drawing.
