On our trip to Paris several years ago we took an amazing trip through the Canal Saint-Martin that passes for almost three miles under Paris. I did many quick sketches as we passed through the strongly perspectival space and then kept meeting lock walls that controlled the water.  I was inspired this year to combine my photographs and sketches, weaving together my response and the space that inspired me.
